James at Goodwood Festival of Speed Press Day 23rd March 2007 James is delighted to announce that for the third year in succession he will be attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed as Ambassador for Lloyds TSB Private Banking. “It is an event that I love. The atmosphere is electric, the cars and people are amazing, and I hope it is as good to watch, as it is to drive up the hill flat out!!”. James attended the press day for this
years’ event on the 26 “You can really feel the extra
200bhp as it kicks you in the back during acceleration. What is good
though is the fact it is still really drivable, and a little easier
to induce some oversteer”. The day went very well, with James
doing two full speed runs up the hill, both times taking a passenger
with him to experience the tight and twisting hill climb. “Unfortunately someone crashed a
Lotus on the course on the second run, resulting in the final run
being cancelled. But it was great being able to familiarise myself
with the new supercharged Mosler and to sample the hill one more
time! And I would like to add that my burnout’s today in that
beast were incredible!” Lord March once again gave a speech
to the assembled World’s Press, detailing this year’s event and
the new theme, ‘Spark of Genius – Breaking Records, Pushing
Boundaries’. He also gave James a special mention during his
speech, noting his involvement as Ambassador for Lloyds TSB Private
Banking. James will be heading to the Goodwood
racing circuit next month to show off his driving skills at a
trackday for the clients of Lloyds TSB Private Banking in an array
of vehicles and more information will be up shortly. The Festival of Speed takes place on
the 22nd,23rd and 24th June 2007. Book your tickets early and meet
