JIG Racing: 2003 BARC Formula Renault Champion & 2001 British Champion

Things are moving fast for James...
...And not just on the track!

Following hot on the heels of his maiden Silverstone adventure last week, when he finished a stunning 4th in his first BARC Formula Renault race, James now has his sights set on a new job!

"I'm going to an ARDS license assesment day on 12th May," he said at the weekend at P F International Kart Circuit. "I haven't done any work for them yet, and I don't even have the
right license yet. They are gonna let me do it though and if I pass, we will then just have to wait till I get all my signatures. A CHALLENGE OR WHAT!"

Speaking of P F International yesterday, along with the hot weather, it marked the emergence of James' new kart team 'Jig Racing', in company with his father Ian, which will look after drivers in the Junior and Senior Formula TKM categories.

As previous British National Kart Champions in the class, James clearly has a lot to offer other drivers in the karting world, with a wealth of experience upon which to call. As James concentrated on the driver's, Ian was seen hard at work in the carb and engine department, and more is expected from this young team as the season develops.

Between his single-seater displays, Rockingham race instruction, and kart team management, it looks like James is in for a demanding and fulfilling year!
